MAI is an AI-powered wellness companion designed to support you on your journey of emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and intentional living. Through personalized conversations, daily intentions, gentle nudges, and mood tracking, MAI helps you reconnect with yourself and move toward the life you're dreaming of — one gentle step at a time.
MAI is built around the belief that real change comes from within. Rather than offering generic advice, MAI learns from your patterns, moods, and reflections to offer guidance that actually feels relevant to your life. It's less like a checklist app and more like a thoughtful companion who knows you.
MAI is not a therapist, psychologist, or licensed mental health provider. The support it offers is for personal wellness and growth — it is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical treatment. If you are going through something serious, please reach out to a qualified professional or call 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the US.
When you download MAI, you get full access to everything for 3 days completely free — no credit card charges during that period. If you'd like to continue after the trial, your subscription begins automatically at $2.99/month. You'll always be notified before any charge occurs.
After your 3-day trial, your subscription auto-renews at $2.99/month through the App Store. This gives you unlimited access to all MAI features. You can cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged anything at all.
You can cancel anytime — no penalties, no judgement. To cancel, go to your iPhone Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → MAI, then tap Cancel. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You can also reach out to us at Team@askmai.app and we'll help you out.
Refunds are handled by Apple. If you cancelled before your trial ended, you won't have been charged. For other refund requests, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. If you feel you were charged unfairly, please email us at Team@askmai.app — we're always willing to help.
Your data — including journal entries, conversations with MAI, and mood check-ins — is encrypted in transit (using TLS) and encrypted at rest. We do not sell your personal information to any third party. Your wellness content is treated with the highest level of care and confidentiality.
You can delete your account directly within the MAI app through Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your profile and all associated data within 30 days. If you need help with this process, email us at Team@askmai.app and we'll take care of it for you.
We do not use your identifiable personal data or conversation content to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent. Your conversations exist to personalize your MAI experience — not to be shared or used elsewhere. You can opt out of any product improvement data usage by emailing us.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. EU residents have full GDPR rights, and California residents have CCPA protections. Read our full Privacy Policy for details, or contact us at Team@askmai.app to make a request.
Gentle Nudges are short, personalized messages MAI sends throughout your day — a kind reminder to breathe, reflect, or reconnect with your intentions. They're designed to feel supportive, never pressuring. You can customize how often you receive them and turn them off anytime in Settings.
MAI is currently available on iOS (iPhone) through the Apple App Store. We require iOS 16 or later. An Android version is in the works — sign up for our waitlist to be the first to know when it launches.
First, try closing and reopening the app, then ensure you have the latest version installed from the App Store. If the issue persists, restart your device. Still having trouble?
